Trudier Harris (born February 27, 1948)[1] is an American literary scholar, author, writing consultor, and educator.
Literary scholar and critic and African American intellectual Trudier Harris is best known for her scholarship on major African American literary figures.
She is a Professor Emerita at the University of Alabama and held the position of J. Carlyle Sitterson Distinguished Professor at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.[2][3][4] Harris is a member of the Wintergreen Women Writers Collective.[5]
